Last evening Indian cricketer team’s former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni announced his retirement from International cricket. This announcement of the captain cool, got the social media buzzing with people penning down messages paying their tribute, while colleagues shared deets of the time spent with him. Joining the league is actor Ranveer Singh who penned a long note right from day one when he met him when the actor was an assistant director working on an ad film shoot, which had MS Dhoni featuring in it. 

Sharing pictures of him with the cricketer, he mentioned in his post of being star struck with Dhoni’s presence on the sets. Praising him for his humbleness and grace, the actor mentioned his love and respect towards him only grew stronger over the years. 
Continuing further Ranveer narrates an incident when hair stylist Sapna Bhavnani who is Dhoni’s close friend, once took him to the cricketer, which made him feel he was walking on the clouds. Since then whenever the actor met him, he only felt energized. 

Gushing over him, Ranveer in his note mentioned, “MSD is one of the greatest sportsmen to have ever lived. I’m lucky to have witnessed his playing career in my lifetime. A paragon of excellence. An icon of the sport. My hero forever.” Read Ranveer’s entire post below-
